YP Impact, a division of the 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, YPCommunities, was formed in response to young professionals (professionals, young at heart) wanting to make a difference in their community.
We believe in strength through collaboration and, together, plan to increase the impact young professionals can have on the cities they live, work and play in.
YP Impact empowers connection, inspires change and creates impact through quarterly campaigns focused on different social issues, while featuring reputable nonprofits. We offer a different kind of professional networking; building community among like-minded young professionals and the issues that are most important to them.
2020 Impact Agenda
YP Impact initiatives address one focus issue, per quarter, throughout the year.
Each quarter we feature a local nonprofit, creating a campaign to educate and engage young professionals on that quarter’s respective issue. Focus issues are voted on, annually, by a diverse selection of young professionals with varying levels of experience in the nonprofit sector.
The 2020 YP Impact focus issues are Q1: Environment; Q2: Cancer; Q3: Childhood Illness & Disease; and Q4: Youth Homelessness.
YP Impact activities are segmented out by month and repeated each quarter.
We set out to help others build relationships through experiences that serve a common interest: making an impact through continued civic engagement with nonprofits.
Each quarter, our community focused activities, supporting respective nonprofits, follow a monthly cadence. Month 1: raising awareness (Spotlight); Month 2: volunteering (Step Up); and Month 3: fundraising (FUNraiser).
Month 1 of each quarter we focus on raising awareness (through panel discussions, blog articles and newsletters) around the quarter's issue and featured nonprofit.
